Slowly, I picked Oliver up, he licked me and I hugged him so hard. I never wanted to let him go. At that moment, Oliver and I became one. A friendship of strength and wonder. We were always together. Where I went, Oliver went. We were inseparable. We were just like two peas in a pod or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Mayor Pinkie Grapefruit smiled slightly, "Well . . . well . . . well . . . look who we have here. Nathaniel Joseph Parker! I don't really care what you think Nathaniel Joseph Parker, and, yes, we know your name. You are one of the biggest offenders of them all. You are ruining everything for us, but you won't be doing that much longer. You will be changing the way you think, whether you want to or not. We have very persuasive methods to change people's minds. We have decided to take over the world, and we will be number one in the kitchen, in restaurants, and, well, everywhere!"
Grapefruits rule!
What made this girl, who was very different from everyone else, come to be so well liked? A smile. One beautiful smile that made a difference in everyone’s life when they were around her. You can have a very, very bad day, but one beautiful smile from someone can make such a difference! It can be magical, if you let it be. I think we all have that magical smile and, of course, got to have polka dots…..love polka dots!!!
